Lori Lee (Armstrong) Koerselman, daughter of Francis and Leola (Bailey) Armstrong was born on October 7, 1983 in Sheridan, WY. After making several moves, in 1996 her family settled in Fremont, NE. Following her 2003 graduation from Fremont High School, she worked at Granny Grace's Daycare. On July 31, 2004, she married Kyle Koerselman in Sheldon, IA and together they moved to Vinton, IA where she continued her chosen career at Happy Time Daycare. In 2006, they relocated to Sherburn, MN which became her happy place and forever earthly home. She and Kyle were blessed with four children whom she dearly loved and cherished. She was employed by the Temperance Lake Nursing Home and also C.O.R. in the special needs and daycare units. When the daycare closed, she became a licensed, in-home daycare provider which she operated for 12 years until her illness forced her to close. Her own children and those she was privileged to care for throughout the years filled her life with joy.
Lori was very creative and she loved making scrapbooks for each of her children and commemorating special trips and family outings. She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Fairmont, MN and her personal love for the Lord was very evident in her life. Her courageous battle with cancer, her steadfast faith in God, her beautiful smile, her sweet, innocent spirit and her caring heart inspired all whom the Lord put in her path. She affectionately and sincerely referred to everyone as "hun", her favorite term of endearment, and this will remain a fond memory of Lori. On July 19, 2024, at the age of 40 years, she was welcomed into her Savior's loving arms and is free of all earthly pain and limitations.
She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her husband of 20 years, Kyle of Sherburn, MN; her four children, Callie, Cody, Chloe and Cooper, all at home; sister Jenny (Troy) Trask of Cassville, MO and their children, Ashley, Dylan (Katie), Paige (Lane), Joshua, Levi, Elias, Caden, Rylan, Lilliana, Micah and Benji; twin sister Lisa Indra (special friend Tim) of Fremont, NE and her children Cameron, Conner, Colton and Charlie; brothers Doug (Kim) Armstrong of Council Bluffs, IA and son Shaydon; Dennis Armstrong (special friend Jayne) of Bixby, OK and son Zachary; Dan (Tracey) Armstrong of Tulsa, OK and son Collin; niece Christian Armstrong; nephew Conner Armstrong; stepsisters Pam (Bruce) Daniels of Hamburg, IA (Brent and Joey) and Nancy Whittington of Nebraska City, NE (Melina and Jason); parents-in-law Mark and Donna Koerselman of Sheldon, IA; sister-in-law Kristi (Kevin) Maloney of Sioux City, IA and their daughter Allison; brother-in-law Kevin (Lisa) Koerselman of Sanborn, IA and their sons Kaiden and Karter; Aunts Lois Murphy of Riceville, IA and Jackie Van Engen of Sanborn, IA; two cuddly, furry friends, Tucker and JJ, other relatives and a multitude of friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Gerald and Dave Armstrong, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
