Lori Noyes Obituary

Lori Noyes 62 of Upland, CA passed away suddenly but peacefully on October 11th, 2023. Lori Noyes RN, BSN, MBA. Since the age of 7 Lori knew she wanted to be a nurse.
Lori attended: Walnut High School class of '79, Mt San Antonio College, Cal State Los Angeles Nursing School, Western University of Health Sciences and Western Governors University. She gave all of herself to nursing and helping others. In April 22, 1996 She needed and received a Kidney/Pancreas transplant. While the stitches were still fresh, she opened a website to help others with Diabetes, Kidney Disease, and Transplantation. When she was able to work again, she put in 10-hour days as a Transplant Coordinator. The loves of Loris life were two Cocker Spaniels, Kirby and Tucker.
In 2015 while on dialysis, waiting for 2nd kidney, she kept busy by getting her Master's degree. She got her perfect kidney. A year of dialysis caused her vision to decrease significantly. She then became a spokesperson, ambassador, consultant, patient advocate and teacher.
Lori was everyone's shoulder to cry on, advice giver and helper in anything and everything she could do.
Lori is survived by her Beloved Kirby, her sister Lynda (Paul) Jelinek of Dubuque Iowa, her co-daughters, Julia (Cody) Munson, of Dickeyville WI, Laura (Jacob) Evans of Galena. Her co-Granddaughters: Lilyana, Myla, and 9 mo. old Octavia. Also surviving are her Best Friend since kindergarten, Lauren Shannon Messerman of Belgium, all her wonderful neighbors. Des and Diana; Guardian angels of all things small and furry. Thousands of friends, co-workers, associates and the many lives she impacted.
Thanks most highly to the generous Smith Family, who allowed their son to Donate his Kidney and Pancreas to Lori on 04-22-1996. R.I.P. Kevin Smith 04-22-1996
