It is with great sorrow to announce that Lori Lynn Scothorn, aged 64, of Dayton Ohio, passed away peacefully on 3rd of March 2026 surrounded by her beloved children. Born on 30th of December 1961, Lori was the cherished daughter of Barbara and Daniel Weinland.

Lori was busy and held many job titles, most notably working in a doctor's office to help others battle their struggles. She will be remembered for her adventurous personality, never known to turn down a fun time with her loved ones, even when it physically pained her to do so. Lori's quick-witted humor and love of the sunshine will not be forgotten by the people who loved her. In her spare time, Lori loved to converse with her children and grandchildren for hours; she never had a story she wouldn't share.

Lori is survived by her children: Justin and Brittany Scothorn, Tanisha Theiss & Felicia Scothorn. Her grandchildren: Riley Scothorn, Aiden Theiss, Teagan King, Justin Scothorn Jr., Briella Scothorn, & Brock King. Her older brothers: Dave Weinland, Daniel Weinland & Craig, and Becky Weinland. Preceded in death, she will be reunited with her mother and father, as well as her grandson Bryan King Jr.

In lieu of a funeral service, you can honor Lori Scothorn by making a donation to the St. Jude medical center, she would have loved to provide support to children in need. Lori's legacy will continue to live on.
