Lori Ann Solak

1963 - 2026

Lori Ann Solak (Pizzuto), devoted mother, daughter, sister, and Nonnie, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, with family by her side, after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Lori was born September 25, 1963. Her childhood years were filled with a warm family life; outdoor activities; and annual family vacations to Ocean Beach in New London, CT.

Lori attended local Pittsfield schools, graduating from Taconic High School in 1982.

After school, Lori worked for several local companies including C.T. Brigham Co. Inc. Later in life, Lori moved to Fort Myers, Florida, where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and found joy in the warm Florida sunshine and ocean air.

Lori's cooking was one of the many ways she showed her love. Every meal was an act of care, meant to comfort, nourish, and bring people together.

Lori is survived by her parents, Tom and Beverly Pizzuto; her brothers, Thomas Pizzuto and Mark (Erin) Pizzuto; and her sister, Alicia (Paul) Aldam; her children Annah Solak, David Solak, and Olivia Solak; and her grandchildren Kassian and Ronnie Lou. Lori is predeceased by her longtime partner, Scott Roberts.

In addition to her immediate family, Lori leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for Lori will be held Friday, February 20th from 4pm-7pm at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, in care of Dery Funeral Home.
