Lorie Ann Wyatt, Harrington, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Bayhealth-Sussex Hospital, she was 56. Lorie was born in Dover, DE to Bonnie Blankenship and Philip Wyatt.
Lorie was a staple in the Harrington Community for many years and was well known and respected by all. She was the owner and operator of LP Sports, a hunting and fishing store in Harrington. Lorie was passionate about all things hunting and fishing and enjoying doing both, as well as crabbing and clamming. She also loved to go camping with family.
Lorie will be cherished as a wonderful daughter, mother, aunt, and mom mom. She excelled as a mother, and when her kids were younger, she made sure to create lasting memories. A lot of those favorite memories involved trips to Ohio and North Carolina. Lorie was always the caretaker, taking care of others above herself. She cherished family, especially her grandchildren, who were her life. She also had a special bond with her sister Lisa, and nieces Heather and Jaida. Lorie touched many lives and her presence will forever be missed.
Lori is preceded in death by her daughter, Tiffani Satterfield.
She is survived by her mother, Bonnie Blankenship; father, Philip Wyatt; daughter, Lacie Satterfield; siblings, Lisa Buckler, Pamela Wyatt Lambert, Erica Wyatt Powers; grandchildren, Olleigh Leeann Satterfield, Gavin Dolly; nieces, Heather Darling, Lillianna Greenlee, Jaida Plummer; nieces and nephews in North Carolina, and other extended family. She also leaves behind her best friend and confidant since her school days, Dana Hockensmith.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home at 12 Noon with a visitation starting at 11AM. Interment will follow immediately after the service at the Hollywood Cemetery. A reception will be held following interment at the Houston Volunteer Fire Company.
