Lorna Marie Adamson Derbidge was born to Nathan Welby Adamson, Sr., and Hannah Marie Sorensen on April 9, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She passed away on May 27, 2023, at her home in Ivins, Utah with loved ones by her side, one month prior to their 63rd wedding anniversary.
Lorna married the love of her life, Dick Derbidge on June 27, 1960, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they worked side by side raising a loving family and working at their family business. Lorna was an accomplished seamstress, making beautiful draperies. But her greatest joy was found in making beautiful dresses for her daughters. She made prom dresses, gorgeous wedding dresses and a blessing dress for her first granddaughter. She also had many other talents she loved to share such as painting and gardening. She was a very personal lady, never seeking out praise or the limelight. She made many memories spending time with family and friends. She adored her grandkids and was very excited to become a grandma. She had 10 grandkids and 11 great grandkids, all that loved to call her grandma.
Lorna is survived by her loving husband of nearly 63 years, Daughters, Amy Chamberlain, Jenny Dunford (Layne), Sara Gorringe (Rick), Her grandchildren, Brother, Nate Jr, (Carolyn), Sister, Mary Horton (Lee), many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, son in law Gordon and her sweet son, Billy.
We will be celebrating her life on June 17, 2023. Visitation 10:00 - 10:45, with her Life Celebration from 11:00 - Noon, at the Highland View Ward Building at 2980 South 2790 East, SLC, UT.
The family would like to thank Zion's Way Hospice for the loving care she received.

We just became aware of Lorna's passing and are so sad to become aware of it. Lorna was special in so many ways. She was always kind and usually smiling; a very easy person to be around. Lorna, you will be missed.

We saddened at the passing of (Momma D) Lorna. She was a sweet friend. We had many good times with with Dick and Lorna. We would stay with them when we went to St. George and we always felt so comfortable in their home. Lorna will always be remembered for her many talents and her kindness to all
