Lorna Helen Hughes, 86, former long-time resident of Deer Park, Texas, passed away peacefully the morning of January 31, 2024 in Alvin, Texas. Lorna was born July 15, 1937, in Thorndale, Texas, to Richard and Adele (Schroeder) Urban.

An avid gardener, she enjoyed keeping impeccably beautiful flower beds around the house. But her most proud accomplishment was her family. She was a devoted wife, caring mom, and doting grandmother.

(Kelli) Hughes Jr, Jeffrey Alan (Tamera) Hughes, grandchildren Lorna Lyn (Sarah) Hughes, Thomas E. Hughes III, Ashely Dawn (Garrett) Duncan, Thomas Martin (Hallie) Hughes, and Trevor Dean Hughes.
