Lorna A. Miller
Linwood, Michigan
Lorna Anne Miller, a beacon of kindness and warmth, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, at her residence in Linwood, Michigan. Born on September 15, 1960, in Bay City, Michigan, Lorna's life was a testament to love, friendship, and familial devotion. She was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, whose presence enriched the lives of those around her.
The daughter of Anne McClelland and the late John Groom, Lorna was raised in a home where compassion and care were paramount. Her childhood in Bay City was filled with joyous memories and the formation of lifelong bonds with her sisters, Delite (Ronald) Zitta and Benita (Mel) Corrier. The threads of love woven in her early years only grew stronger as Lorna built her own family.
Lorna found her life's partner in Anthony Miller, and together they embarked on a journey filled with shared dreams and mutual respect. Although preceded in death by her beloved husband, the legacy of their love continued to thrive through their son, Christian (Nate) (Baileigh) Miller, and their adored grandchildren, Lincoln and Boston Miller. Her role as a homemaker was a source of pride and fulfillment, allowing her to create a nurturing environment where her family could flourish.
Her life was characterized by the simple yet profound acts of kindness that defined her. Lorna's friendly demeanor and loving nature made her a cherished friend and neighbor. She embraced life's moments with grace and always had a ready smile for anyone she met. Lorna's capacity to love was boundless, and she instilled in her family the values of empathy and generosity.
Beyond the walls of her home, Lorna was an active member of her community, where she formed lasting relationships and contributed to the social fabric of her beloved hometown. Her involvement in various associations provided her with a sense of purpose and camaraderie that complemented her life as a homemaker.
Lorna Anne Miller will be profoundly missed by her mother, Anne McClelland; her son and daughter-in-law, Nate and Baileigh; her grandchildren, Lincoln and Boston; her sisters, Delite and Benita, along with their spouses, Ronald and Mel; and by the countless friends and community members whose lives she touched. As we bid farewell to Lorna, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
A Memorial service will be held in January 2026 at Rivertown Funeral Chapel.
