Endswell Funeral Home - HillsboroughLorraine Marie Angelotti, a cherished mother, devoted wife, Air Force veteran, entrepreneur, and beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, in Durham, North Carolina. Born on February 10, 1931, in Hebron, North Dakota, Lorraine’s life was defined by her tenacious spirit, warm hospitality, and a wit that brightened every room she entered.
Raised on a farm as one of ten siblings, Lorraine developed a strength and resilience that carried her through a remarkable life. She served honorably in the Air Force during the Korean War, reflecting her deep commitment to service and country. Throughout her life, Lorraine's kind heart and generous nature were evident; she never hesitated to feed anyone who came to her door and was known for her compassionate, non-judgmental attitude. Her ability to make people feel welcomed, combined with her memorable one-liners and fun-loving spirit, left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Lorraine was a loving wife to Robert Angelotti of 75 years. Together, they built a legacy through two successful businesses, with Lorraine also forging her own path as an accomplished interior decorator. Her entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by her devotion to her family; she delighted in spending time with her children and grandchildren, nurturing strong bonds and creating lasting memories.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Angelotti; her children Terry Angelotti, Gerald Angelotti, and Lorraine Stoffer; her son-in-law Robert Stoffer; and her daughter-in-law Beverly Angelotti; her beloved grandchildren Jordan Angelotti-Stoffer, Kylie Stoffer, Erin Angelotti and Wesley Angelotti; and her great-grandsons, Crew Angelotti and Chase Angelotti. Their lives were touched deeply by her unconditional love and strength.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Reinhold Mayer and Helen Vietz, and her daughter, Catherine Angelotti. The memory of Lorraine’s spirited nature, boundless kindness, and unwavering determination will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
Her legacy is one of love, perseverance, humor, and an unshakable desire for harmony among those around her. Lorraine Marie Angelotti’s life was a testament to the power of a joyful heart and a resolute spirit. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
