My brother, Cameron, and I often visit our grandparents who are Lorraine´s neighbors. We knew Lorraine well as we´d always visit her, "Mr. Bilodeau" as we called him, and Linda growing up. One day when my brother and I went to our grandparents´ to visit after school, locked out of the house when no one was home in the middle of winter, Lorraine saw us from her kitchen window and shouted for us to come over to keep warm. Waiting for us was an array of freshly baked cookies from chocolate chip to snickerdoodle. Her snickerdoodle cookies were my favorite. Every time I think of Lorraine, this is the first memory that pops up in my head. It reminds me of her kindness and caring for others. She was like a grandmother to me, and I will miss her dearly.
