Lorraine Rose Blalock (nee Dittmaier), of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Richard Franklin Blalock; cherished daughter of the late Julius P. Dittmaier and the late Rose F. Gude; devoted mother of Richard W. (Lorraine M.) Blalock Sr., Patricia A. (the late Michael F.) Schwab, and James L. Blalock; loving grandmother of Jenessa (Ricky) Legaspi, Richard W. Blalock, Jr., Karen Winkler, and John (Laura) Schwab; treasured great grandmother of Liam Legaspi, Ryan Legaspi, Caroline Blalock, Benjamin Blalock, Jacob Winkler, and Oliva Winkler; dear sister of the late Marian (the late William) Thompson, the late Dolores (the late William) Klema, and Gloria (the late Hascal) White; beloved by nephews, nieces, cousins and many dear friends.
Lorraine found joy in working on cryptogram puzzles and had a deep love for travel, especially after retirement when she explored new places with her sisters and other family members. Lorraine had a passion for crocheting and made numerous pieces for family and friends. Her dogs and her bird held a special place in her heart and were truly like her other children. Lorraine was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials can be in Lorraine’s name to Five Acres and St. Vincent DePaul.
