Lorraine Boyce Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clary Funeral Home - Alton on Feb. 11, 2026.
Lorraine (Stay) Boyce, age 69, of Alton, Missouri, lost her battle with metastatic breast cancer on January 30, 2026. She was born on April 3, 1956, in Elmhurst, Illinois.

Lorraine spent 28 years as a semi-truck driver, a career that reflected her strong work ethic, independence, and dedication. She took pride in her work and the life she built through perseverance and determination. Outside of her career, Lorraine found joy in creative and hands-on pursuits. She loved gardening, jewelry making, and painting, and had a keen eye for unique finds at thrift stores and estate sales. She especially enjoyed collecting costume jewelry, a hobby that reflected her appreciation for beauty, history, and individuality.

Beyond her own family, Lorraine was a "neighborhood mother" to many. She looked out for those around her, offering guidance, care, and a steady presence, and had the rare gift of watching many of the children she nurtured grow into adulthood.

She is survived by her daughter Korena (Boyce) Ming and son-in-law Nathan Ming; her son Edward Boyce; and her goddaughter Kristin Stocki. Lorraine was a proud grandmother to Keanan, Kamdyn, Kaylan, Dominick, Raina, Kashton, and Kalan, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Lorraine will be remembered for her strength, resilience, and the love she shared with her family and close friends that became like family to her. She leaves behind cherished memories that will be held close by all who knew and loved her.
