Mary Boyce Obituary
Mary "Marlene" Boyce, 93, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, February 10, 2026. Marlene was born in Toledo, Ohio, on August 28, 1932, to Carl "Fred" and Mary (Pfeiffer) Scheanwald, and was married September 3, 1955, to William J. Boyce, Jr.
Marlene worked for the Toledo Blade for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. She is survived by her two sons, Doug (Vanessa) Boyce of Franklin, MI; and Dave (Karen) of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Jodi (Bobby), Kelly, David (Jenny), Cori (Stan), and Brian; step-grandchildren, Stephanie Crevison and Greggory Sherman; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Zoe, Owen, and Eliza; as well as several nieces and nephews. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Will; and her brother, Bill.
Friends will be received from 5:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday, February 13, 2026, in the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. S. Boundary, Perrysburg, 419-874-3133. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, in Perrysburg. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.

On behalf of the McCarthy family. We would like to express our deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. May your family heal knowing she was a wonderful woman,mother and a good friend to our family. I still remember the good times they all had with the pinochle card club. Take care Doug and Dave.
