Gene F. Boyce, of Anson, Maine, passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 93.

He was born April 2, 1932, in Kingfield, Maine, the son of James Boyce and Beula (Blanchard) Boyce.

Gene proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps beginning in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1960. Following his military service, he worked for many years in electronics repair. He attended some college and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus.

Family was at the center of Gene's life. He loved them fiercely, took great pride in them, and treasured every moment spent together. An outdoorsman at heart, Gene found joy in fishing, hiking, camping, and spending time in the country. He also enjoyed staying active, loved going to the gym, and had many friends there.

Gene volunteered at the St. Sebastian Thrift Store in Madison, where he also helped maintain the building for the church. He remained active in the church for many years until his passing.

Gene was a devoted and loving father and grandfather.

Gene was predeceased by his beloved wife, Grace; his sister, Mary Tague; and his brother, Leo Boyce.

He is survived by his children, Belinda Schinzel and husband Mark and Tim Boyce and his wife Lisa; as well as four grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brothers, Harold, Tom, and Louie; his sisters, Polly Radcliff and Peggy Hansom; and additional family members including his brother John and sister-in-law Sharon.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Giberson Funeral Home in Madison.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Madison, with burial will be in the spring at St. Sebastian Cemetery in Madison.

Arrangements are under the care of Giberson Funeral Home.
