Lorraine Baca, 93, of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, the 1st of June, 2025, in the presence of her children. A gathering of family and friends in celebration of her life will be held Friday, June 13th, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Westside. The family will receive friends a half hour prior to the service, and a reception with refreshments will follow the service.
Lorraine was the daughter of Ben and Estella Archibeque, grew up in Alameda and Albuquerque, and, in 1952, married Ray R. Baca of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray; her sisters, Salome Uzueta and Liz Tafoya; and brother, Robert Archibeque. She is survived by her sister, Lucille Kinzer; daughter, Gloria McNiel (David); son, Daniel R. Baca (Liz); 6 grandchildren; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was employed in Credit Bureau Collections and for many years was very active in Real Estate. She traveled extensively with husband Ray, notably to Mexico, Brazil, Quebec, and Spain. She was an involved mother and grandmother and a famous hostess and socialite--the "belle of the ball," beautiful, vivacious and fun-loving.
