Lorraine Marie Monaco

Lorraine M. Monaco, 60, of Yonkers, NY passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022. She was born and raised in White Plains, NY, daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth "Betty" Leonard. Lorraine is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Charles Monaco.
Lorraine cherished her 32 year career at Pace University in White Plains. She was the coordinator of the International Studies program. She loved the program, its professors and most importantly, its students. At the invitation of her students, Lorraine traveled to Japan to meet them and their families. Lorraine loved attending Elvis impersonator concerts, car shows and watching her New York Yankees with her husband, Charlie. She also enjoyed country music, baking and knitting. Her greatest loves were her family and friends. Lorraine never missed the opportunity to send a card or make a loving phone call.
Lorraine is survived by her brothers Tom Leonard Jr. (Laura) and Tim Leonard (Gayle). She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Leonard. Lorraine is also survived by her loving nephews and nieces, Matthew (Annmarie), Kevin (Stephanie), Jenna, Justin, Nora and Olivia. The family will receive friends at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home at 491 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church at 148 Hamilton Ave, White Plains on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 10:00am. A burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
