Lorraine Mueller Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home - Wittenberg on Jan. 1, 2026.
Lorraine M. Mueller, 102 of Wittenberg, died on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Homme Home of Wittenberg under the care of Interim Hospice.
Lorraine was born on September 4, 1923, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Joseph and Francis (Schoch) Kuffner.
On October 23, 1943, Lorraine was united in marriage to Lawrence Mueller in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1999.
Lorraine's early life in Milwaukee was filled with fond memories, as she was raised by her mother, Francis, and stepfather, Jack Redick. She loved roller skating, ice skating, and playing tag football, often spending time in local parks and at South Shore Beach on Lake Michigan, where family picnics were a cherished tradition. It was also during her time at Omar Bakery in Milwaukee that she met the love of her life, Lawrence. The two then moved to Tigerton, where they made a home on a 140-acre farm and raised their family. In her later years, Lorraine took great pride in her hobbies, especially baking for the local deer hunters, crafting over 4,500 necklaces and bracelets, and enjoying trips to the casino. She also enjoyed rummaging and watching the Packers and Brewers. She was crowned Strawberry Queen during her time at Homme Home and was very proud of it. The most rewarding part about her life was watching her children and grandchildren grow up. Lorraine learned in life to always be good to others, kindness is the best thing you can do, have God in your life, do not keep your hands 'idle' and follow the golden rule.
Lorraine is survived by four children, Gail (friend, Brian) Gordon, Debra (David) Boda, Robert (Donna) Mueller and John (Claire) Mueller; eight grandchildren, Bryan, Kelly, Lindy, Laine, Katelyn, Sam, Adam and Katie; four step grandchildren, Kenneth, Nichelle, Elizabeth and Kasey Jo; nine great grandchildren, Audrey, Brooklyn, Addison, Kyla, Reagan, Kenneth, Cameron, Collette and Meadow Mae, along with two more coming in March and five step great grandchildren, Alec, Thomas, Callan, Cora and Aurora.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, George; stepbrother, John; two stepsisters, Irene and Ester and two half-sisters, Marion and Elenore.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Rev. Sharon Fox-Bogen will preside. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Tigerton in the Spring. Visitation will be on Friday, from 11 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
