Lorraine J Naleway
Cherished Wife, Beloved Mother, Passionate Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Friend to many Lorraine Naleway passed away peacefully in the early morning of November 16, 2025 at Willow Falls Senior Living Home in Crest Hill at the age of 92. A resident at the Carillon Community of Plainfield.
Lorraine always made you feel like she had been waiting to see you all day and now her day was complete She could brighten any room with her infectious laugh, crazy funny ideas, life stories, and incredible humor
Lorraine was born September 23, 1933 In Chicago to her Parents Michael & Josephine Jonas. Where she grew up along side her large family. Until she married the love of her life Larry Naleway in 1955..Together they raised 4 children, whom she considered to be her greatest achievements They continued together in what most people would call "The Greatest Love Story" for 70 years, enjoying life with their amazing friends, bike riding on their tandem bike with that famous horn letting everyone know they had arrived! She also enjoyed racquetball, aerobics, gardening, and endless games of hand and foot. Which she especially enjoyed playing with her many cherished Grandchildren. Who will all say, she always remembered all their accomplishments and forgot all their mistakes She was always eager to hear all about their lives and truly loved every moment of it. She was especially excited each time she found out she was being blessed with a Great Grandchild. She always said how lucky she was to be a "Great Gramma" and held time spent with them close to her heart. She adored her life with her Husband Larry and was proud of the growing family they built. She loved to celebrate all the milestones, passing on traditions, sharing recipes, advice, and special moments. She cherished and counted "all the minutes" when she was with them.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her
We pray she always felt how much she was loved and appreciated We will remember there is a part of her in all of us, while we continue to carry on our memories and the legacy of an amazing woman.
Lorraine is survived by her loving Husband and Love of her life, Larry Naleway; Children Debra (Phil+) Gorczyca, Larry Naleway Jr., Tracy (Eddie) Sowa, and David Naleway (Beth); Grandchildren Michael, Victoria (Nathan), David (Brittany), Nicholas, and Alexandria; Great Grandchildren Angelina, Gulianna, Lukas, Lydia, and Dean; siblings Betty, Marlene, and Mary. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Parents Michael and Josephine, Grandson Vincent, and also siblings Robert, Michael Jr., Evelyn, Joann, and Harold.
