Lorretta Riehl-Bellile Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Borchardt & Moder Funeral Homes - Hortonville on Mar. 17, 2026.
On the morning of March 15, 2026, Lorretta (Lemke) Riehl-Bellile, our beautiful Mom and "Grandma Sugar", went home to heaven and is now enjoying "perfect" peace and joy! Mom has won the ultimate victory! She has the crown of salvation, given to her through Jesus Christ, our Savior! Praise God for all of His goodness! The fruits of everything Lorretta did, was a result of her love for her Savior, who gave her the forgiving heart she had. She was full of love and acceptance. She mirrored this quality off of our Savior, Jesus, who forgives each and every one of us for our sins. Not one sin is too great for our Savior, as His love is beyond what we can imagine.

Lorretta was born May 12, 1939. She graduated from Hortonville High School, Class of 1957: later going on to work many years as a nursing assistant for Appleton Medical Center and later as a seamer for Asten-Johnson.

Lorretta was married July 15, 1958 to Ralph Riehl, having been married for 43 years, with whom she had five children.

After Ralph's passing in 2001, she married Leonard Bellile on September 11, 2004. They shared twenty-one years of marriage together, living in both Hortonville and Tustin. They enjoyed many trips up to Ashland and Cornucopia together. Every single day, they played cribbage together, always keeping track of who won.

The most important thing to Lorretta, outside of her love for our Savior, was her family. She made everyone feel loved and accepted. Everyone was considered "perfect" in her eyes. Lorretta made sure to be there for each one of her family members even though there are so many; her five children, two step-children, twenty two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and forty seven great-grandchildren all felt her love.

Loretta is survived by her husband, Leonard; her children; Debra (Timothy) Lambie, Donna (Dean) Hoewisch, Denise (Thomas) Griesbach, Thomas (Kris) Riehl, and Chad (fiance: Elizabeth) Riehl; step-children Paul (Sally) Bellile and Andrew (Julie) Bellile; grandchildren Joshua (Elisa), Ashley (Joseph), Kaylin (Luke), Crystal (JJ), Celeste (Aaron), Karen (Andrew), Garrett (Miranda), Tiffany (Brian), John (Pam), Brittany (Adrian), Chelsey (Stephen), Tatiana (Kyle), Gabriel (Kristine), Mariah (Kyle), Terry (Samantha), Halle Jo, Mitchael (Kristin), Mason, Myla; two bonus grandkids Nathan, and Nicholas; step-grandchildren Kathryn, Matthew and Elizabeth. She is further survived by her many great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her first husband, Ralph; her parents Arthur and Hazel; her grandson Jesse Joe; six siblings and many other relatives and friends.

Services for Lorretta will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville, Wisconsin, with Pastor Tristian Paustian officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hortonville.

Mom (AKA Grandma Sugar),
Through the years we've tried to mirror the way you walked with God. What an example you've been for us all! You've been a wonderful Christian, wife, mother and grandmother, serving and praising God daily, all with your entire heart. God truly blessed us all when He gave us you. Thank you Mom for all of the love and guidance you have given us. We are so saddened, knowing we no longer have you here on earth, but we are happy to know you are rejoicing with our Lord, Jesus, in Heaven. We are happy you are enjoying "perfect" peace and happiness right now. We love you so much Mom, and will miss you in so many ways! Thank you God for blessing us with such a wonderful mom!

Love you always,

Len, Deb & Tim, Donna & Dean,

Denise & Tom, Tom & Kris, Chad & Liz.
