Lou A. Allison, 84, of Geneseo, died on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home.  Private services will be held on Thursday, September 28th.  Minister Ollie Adams will officiate.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo, IL.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, September 27th, at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Geneseo.  Memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital.

Louis Arnold was born on November 22, 1938, in Kewanee, IL, the son of Jackson H. and Clara R. (Hassen) Allison.  He served in the National Guard for eight years and was united in marriage to Constance Anderson on July 4, 1959, in Mesa, AZ.  She survives.  Lou owned and operated Lou Allison signs since 1976.  He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; children, Michael Allison, Geneseo, Sheryl (Dan) Nelson, Bemus Pointe, NY, Tim (Susan) Allison, Geneseo, Andrew (Julie) Allison, Geneseo, and Amy (Steve) Davidson, Geneseo; thirteen grandchildren, Sally Olsen, Kelly Battaglia, Gram Nelson, Shelby Nelson, Nash Nelson, Tim Allison, Jr, Bonnie Savage, Evelyn Allison, Gavin Allison, Stella Allison, Crystyna Davidson, Rebecca Davidson, and Louis Davidson; and seven great-grandchildren, Blake, Liam, Raidyn, Isabella, Kiran, Jacob, and Luke.  Other survivors include his sister, Cecelia “Sim” (Roland) Kerr, Mesa, AZ; brothers, Jerry (Georgiana) Allison, Moline, and Samuel Allison, Madisonville, KY; and a sister-in-law, Edith Allison, Dawson Springs, KY.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim and David Allison; and sister, Eleanor Morris.
