Lou Wage Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carney Funeral Home - Blytheville on Feb. 16, 2026.
Louann Nelson Farmer Wage, age 83 of Blytheville, went to be with the Lord on 02/16/2026. Born in Huffman, AR to David and Pearl Hamm Nelson, Louann spent most of her younger years in the Huffman/Blytheville area. Blytheville is where she met JB Farmer who she married. They later moved to Hartford City, IN where they both worked at Indiana Glass Factory and raised two children, Scott and Bonnie.

In 1979 they moved back to their place of birth Blytheville where JB would later pass away.

Louann loved to work outside in her flowers. Tending to her flowers and taking care of her yard was something she really enjoyed. She especially loved sitting on the front porch and watching the hummingbirds. She thought they were beautiful.

Louann never met a stranger. She loved to talk to anyone and everyone. She will definitely be remembered for her cute little laugh that was often heard when talking to her.

Louann was preceded in death by her parents David and Pearl Hamm Nelson, first husband JB Farmer, her brothers Charles, Richard and Freddie, and two sisters Shirley Nelson and Maxine Kelly.

She leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Tom Wage; her daughter, Bonnie Carden of Evensville, TN; her son, Scott Farmer of Morristown, TN; three grandchildren Peyton Carden of Queen of Rock Spring, Ga., Tyler and Jacob Farmer of Steele, MO, two sisters Virginia Jarvi of Michigan and Jackie Paul of Florida; special friend Mary Gobles; and her little dog Susie.

No services are planned at this time.
