Louis A .Boschetti, age 93, passed away on Saturday April 5, 2025. He was the husband of the late Anna D. Boschetti (DiRuzzo). He was born in Providence , the son of the late Frank M. Boschetti and Celia Boschetti (Catuto).
He was employed for over 30 years as a salesman for Sears in Providence, starting in men's clothing and working his way up to major appliances.
He was always proud of the fact that he was born and grew up on Federal Hill and was able to move to North Providence and provide a good life for his family. He lived the American dream through hard work and the success he enjoyed in sales. He lived in North Providence for over 60 years and moved to the Bridge at Cherry Hill in Johnston during his final years.
His greatest passion and hobby was all things automotive. He loved to own a new car every few years and seemed to be forever shopping for his next new ride. He loved vintage and classic antique cars and attended many car shows. He finally found his perfect antique car in 2002 at a Cadillac dealer, a 1976 Cadillac Seville that was an "original survivor" in almost perfect condition. It won him awards at the car shows and he was featured in the Providence Journal. He also enjoyed watching sports and was an avid NY Yankee and Celtics fan. He followed both teams for years and many championship seasons.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Barbara Boschetti Michael and her husband Joseph, his loving son Louis M.Boschetti and his wife Elsa and cherished grandchildren Elisa ,Julia and step grandchild Joseph.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Calling hours are 9-10 AM followed by a Catholic Prayer Service at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Jude’s's Children's Hospital in his name are appreciated.
