Louis Earl Everette, Jr., 69, of Tarboro, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Louis was a hard worker and committed his life to farming. He embraced the challenges and rewards of working the fields from sun up to sun down, taking the work ethic from his father, who established the family farm in 1953. Earlier in his life, Louis chased the checkered flag while racing stock cars and motorcycles. Louis enjoyed Nascar, working in his shop, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Everette Sr., his mother, Dorothy Everette, and his nephew, Bryan Everette.
Louis is survived by his loving family, including his son Louis Everette III (Trey), daughters Stephanie Everette Robertson and Taylor Everette, stepson Matthew Zinn and wife Luindy Zinn, sisters Brenda Everette Parker and husband David Parker and Vicky Dickens and husband Russ Dickens, niece Jessica Brooks and husband Tyler Brooks; and grandchildren Nathan Everette, Logan Robertson, Landon Scott, and Javier Zinn.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at Carlisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randy Holland officiating. The interment will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at his sister's home, Brenda Everette, and husband, David Parker, 6791 US Highway 258 North, Tarboro, NC 27886.
