Louis Renn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Naville & Seabrook Funeral Home - Market Street Chapel on Jan. 29, 2026.
Louis M. Renn Jr. (Louie), 90 passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 27, 2026.

He was born in Louisville, KY. to the late Cecelia and Louis M. Renn Sr. He went on to be the first in his family to graduate from college, earning his degree from Purdue University and was a huge Boilermaker fan forever after. He had a 20 year career at International Harvester, and then founded a successful consulting firm specializing in Quality Control. Alongside his lifelong friends he also became a Co-Owner of the Scottsburg Foundry. Louie was a member of the ASQC, the Purdue Alumni Association, the Knights of Columbus and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Louie's true passions were family, lifelong friendships, travel, and his golf game. He loved to talk and tell stories that were always entertaining and sometimes based on facts. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Rev. Gerald T. Renn and Robert Renn, and his aunt, who was like a second mother to him, Marg Morlen.

Louie is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Mary Sue "Susie" Renn, his son: Chris Renn(Jill), his daughters: Mary Beth Burke(Joe) and Anne Renn(Marcus Britton), and his treasured grandchildren: Kevin Renn and Courtney, Claudia and Colin Burke. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the dedicated nurses and staff at Autumn Woods and Southern Care Hospice for their compassionate care, kindness and support.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Tuesday February 3, 2026 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church(1752 Scheller Ln.) with entombment at St. Mary's Cemetery in New Albany. Visitation will be at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes(1119 E. Market St.) from 2 – 6 PM Monday.

Memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or Our Lady of Providence High School.
