Louis Sorochak, 94, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025. Born on August 3, 1930, in Terryville, Connecticut, Lou lived a life defined by service, intellect, loyalty, and love for both family and sport.

A proud United States Air Force veteran, Lou served as a Bombardier flying on B-17s during the Korean War. After his service, he pursued higher education through the G.I. Bill, earning two engineering degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. His career culminated with his retirement from McDonnell Douglas Helicopters in 2005.

Lou was born to William and Anna Sorochak and was the youngest of three boys, preceded in death by his brothers Alex and Myro. He was married for 60 years to Jeanette Tedesco Sorochak, who passed away in 2020. Their enduring partnership was a testament to love and commitment.

He is survived by his sons, Billy Sorochak and Michael Sorochak; his daughters-in-law, Angel Sorochak and Joanne Sorochak; and his cherished grandchildren: Anna Paige Sorochak, Nick Sorochak, Cathy Sorochak Maiorano, and Addison Carter.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Lou's heartbeat for the Boston Red Sox, the Celtics, the New York Giants, and his beloved UCONN Huskies basketball teams. He also loved the game of golf-both playing and watching-with the same discipline and joy he brought to every chapter of his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests a donation in Lou's memory to:
