Louis Joseph Spadaccini, 85, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on his birthday, October 9, 2025, at Manchester Memorial Hospital.

Born October 9, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, Louis was the son of the late Luigi and Lena Spadaccini. He grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School. He went on to earn a bachelor’s and master's degree in engineering from the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and later obtained his Ph.D. from The Cooper Union.

While living in Brooklyn, Louis met the love of his life, Maryann Napolitano. The couple moved to Connecticut after Louis accepted a position at United Technologies, where he had a long and successful career until his retirement in 2006. They settled in Manchester, where they raised their two sons, Louis Anthony Spadaccini and Christopher Michael Spadaccini.

Louis was a dedicated and accomplished engineer and research supervisor, known for his deep passion for his work. Over the years, he earned numerous patents, awards, and contributed to many scientific publications. Beyond his professional achievements, Louis was a devoted family man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He especially loved watching the New York Yankees and tending to his yard.

He will be remembered for his intelligence, humility, and steadfast commitment to his family.

Louis’s memory will be cherished by his beloved wife, Maryann Spadaccini; his sons, Louis Anthony Spadaccini and his wife Keshet, and Christopher Michael Spadaccini; his granddaughter, Fabrizia Lena Spadaccini; his brother, Robert Spadaccini; and his nephews, Robert Spadaccini and Michael Spadaccini.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Friday, October 17, 2025, at St. James Church, 896 Main Street, Manchester, CT, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Glastonbury, CT.
