Funeral services for Louis E. Traylor, 74, will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Mike Perser of the Shreveport Fire Department. Interment will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd. in Keithville, Louisiana.
Louis was born on May 9, 1949 to honorary parents, Charles and Marjorie Hinton, and Louis and Jerry Pinchera and Ann Pinchera in Shreveport, Louisiana. He passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Louis was a graduate of Byrd High School. He was married to the love of his life, his wife, Sharon, for 50 years. He retired from the Shreveport Fire Department with the rank of Captain. He was a member of the United States Marine Corp and served in the Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his many trips to Texas Motor Speedway and Talladega, Alabama to the stock car races, and he loved his LSU Tigers!
Louis is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sharon; son, Slade Traylor; daughter-in-law, Tiffany Traylor; daughter, Amber Emerson and husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Preston Emerson, Morgan Traylor and Peyton Emerson; and sister, Sylvia Finklea.
Honoring Louis as pallbearers will be Tommy Roche, Jason Johnson, Adam Bush, Jimmy Beckwith, Wally Hood and Darien Vercher. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Greg Fulco, John Fulco and Mark Vercher.
