Louis Eric "Rick" Vaeth

Louis Eric Vaeth "Rick" passed away on November 14, 2025 at age 77. Rick was an avid golfer and loved working in the yard. He also spent endless days researching the many branches of the family tree. Rick was predeceased of his parents, Louis Wm. Vaeth and Sally Irene Irish. He was the beloved husband of Jane Oliver-Vaeth and devoted father of Erica Rose Birdsong and her husband Anthony, and Evan William Vaeth. Loving grandfather of Blake Anthony Birdsong and Barrett Eric Birdsong. Brother of Mark Vaeth.
He was a member of the PGA as an assistant golf pro at Baltimore Country Club at Five Farms, even living in one of the original farm houses until 1988 with Jane and daughter, Erica. He later became an employee of the Maryland Department of Education and then the Baltimore County Public School System as a data specialist.
Rick was born, raised, and lived in Pikesville, Md. He graduated from Loyola Blakefield and then Campbell College.
Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136 on Sunday November 23rd from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. There will be a time for sharing stories at 3:00 pm.
