Louis “Bo” Willis, 76, of Newport, passed away on January 29, 2025 at River Trace Nursing Home of Washington, NC.
Evangelist Willis dedicated over a decade of his life to ministry in Eastern North Carolina, sharing his faith and serving his community with devotion. For the past 11 years, he and his wife faithfully led Healing Waters Ministry in Newport, where they touched countless lives through their pastoral work.
May his legacy of faith and service continue to inspire those who knew him.
The family will celebrate his life privately.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Julie Rose Willis of Newport; daughter, Angela McIntyre of Edward, NC; son, Steve Allen Guthrie of James City; granddaughter, Summer Bowman of New Bern; great grandson, Samson Bowman of New Bern; his two brothers, Mack Willis and wife, Karen of Beaufort; Don Willis of Morehead City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Clark Willis and Barbara Parkin Willis; and his two sisters, Roberta Smith and Barbara Robinson.
