CRESTLINE - Louisa Mary Sipes, 82, of Crestline, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Crestline Nursing Home.
Louisa was born on December 29. 1942, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to the late Lewis and Josephine (Fereno) Kiefer. In 1961, Louisa would marry Raymond Stump, the father of her children, and he would precede her in death on March 8, 2025. Louisa would then remarry Barry Sipes on October 26, 1996, and Barry would precede Louisa in death on July 28, 1999.
Louisa dedicated her life to caring for others. She began her career as a housekeeper at the Crestline Hospital before working toward her STNA certification. With that achievement, she found her calling as an in-home health aide, providing comfort and companionship to many families. She later retired from Atwood Manor in Galion.
She was a proud and active member of her community. Louisa was a life member of the Crestline VFW Post 2920 and the Galion AmVets Post 1979. She also held membership with the Galion Owls Aerie #4008 and the Galion Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #630.
In her free time, Louisa found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved casino trips and the excitement of gambling, playing bingo with friends, and was always ready to yell at the TV during a football game-especially when cheering on her beloved Philadelphia Eagles. She had a passion for dancing, listening to her favorite Elvis songs, and could never resist a good shopping trip or hunting for bargains at yard sales.
Left to cherish Louisa's memories are her children: David (Tammy) Stump of Crestline, Dennis (Connie Leach) Stump of Galion, Richard Stump of Crestline, and Donna (Timothy Russell) Stump of Crestline; step-children: Stephen Sipes of Galion, Joseph Sipes of Galion, and Samantha (Andy) Anderson of Bucyrus; siblings: Stephen (Dianne) Kiefer of Bethlehem, PA., and Thomas (Sue) Kiefer of Bethlehem, PA.; 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
