Louise Adams, 95, of Desloge, passed away peacefully at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown surrounded by her three children. She was born January 25, 1930, in Fredericktown, to the late Walter and Nellie Simmons (Roach) Bebout. Louise and her late husband, James, joined the Esther Flat River, which is now Park Hills Church of Nazarene in 1963 where she made lifelong friends, countless memories and enjoyed serving her Lord and Savior in various ways over the years there from teaching Sunday school, working with the youth, singing specials with the ladies ensemble, board member and steward, helping each year with vacation bible school and so much more. Family gatherings were important to Louise, wanting all to enjoy her delicious homemade ice cream each summer, lemonade or whatever could be found you were welcome to it!
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years; her parents, Walter and Nellie Bebout; daughter, Mona Louise Adams; granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Burkhalter and oldest grandson, Keith Aaron Adams.
Louise is survived by her adoring children, Larry Adams and wife June, Donna Burkhalter and husband Rev. Pat; Cyndi Hudson and husband Paul; three grandchildren, Morgan Hudson (Stephen Estes), Grant Hudson (wife Emma + baby on the way), Jonathan Burkhalter (wife Rachel); two great-grandchildren, Kade (Mason) Adams and Kailey (Jase) Odle; one great-great-granddaughter, Blakelynn Ryver Odle; one sister, Joan Elaine Fowler (husband Larry children Jeffery, Lisa, Jason) nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.
Visitation will be held at Park Hills Church of Nazarene, Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the service time of 11:00 AM. Reverend Alan Harp will be officiating. Interment will follow at Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Park Hills Church of Nazarene or Serenity Hospice in Park Hills.
The family would like to thank the Stockhoff nursing home and staff for the wonderful care they provided during Louise’s stay and Serenity Hospice for their care and family support.
