With heartfelt sadness, the family of Jackie G. Lawson “Jack” announces his passing on November 16, 2025, at the age of 89. Jack left this world peacefully at his home in Park Hills, surrounded by the love and warmth of family.
Born on March 14, 1936, in Desloge, Jack was the cherished son of the late Vernal and Leta (Stricklin) Lawson. A devoted worker, he dedicated 27 years of his life to St. Joe Lead Mine before retiring. Jack was not one to rest; he found joy in the great outdoors, embracing a multitude of trades that kept his hands busy and his mind engaged. Whether he was working on construction projects, performing maintenance tasks, or tinkering with cars, Jack was a man who simply could not sit still.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Sharon, Vernon, David, Ronald Lawson and Joyce Bays.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Frances (Lee) Lawson; children, Kevin Lawson, Kenny Lawson and wife Julie, Kelly Lawson-Jarvis and husband Ernest V. and their mother, Glenda “Gail” Lawson; son of Jack and Frances, Stephen Lee; a loving grandpa and great-grandpa to many; and one brother, Donald Lawson and wife Vicki; several other family members and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume, Friday, November 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Kendall Hughes will be officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.
