Louise Lerester Daniel

Louise Lerester Daniel 82 of Madison Heights, VA earned her angel wings on Wednesday August 13th, 2025. Lerester was born November 21, 1942, In Amherst County, VA to the late James F. Daniel. Thema M. Daniel. She was also preceded in death by a sister Thalia "Anita" or Nita Cook and great grandson Khayr Franklin.

Lerester was a child of God who served the Lord faithfully as long as she was physically able. Athough unable to attend church for the past several years, she remained committed to her faith and continued to profess her love of the Lord. She remained steadfast until she gained her place in heaven. Lerester was employed with Ericsson for over 30 years until she retired. She also provided home health care for those in need.

Lerester was a dedicated mother, grandmother Known as "Gannie", sister and friend. She is survied by her children Victor I. Rice, of Florida and Wathetta M. Rice, of Lynchburg, VA., grandchildren, Tremain Rice, Tremiqua Rice, Jayquan Franklin, Jayson Franklin & Jamere Frankin; great- grandchildren, Ameir Marshall, Tremain Rice, Jr (TJ), Trenton Rice, and Kaori Franklin; sisters, Marie E. Daniel, E. Jeanette Albert (Herb), brother, James E. Daniel; dedicated niece and nephew, Tamekio and Chris Watts, special friend in Christ, Alfreda White; along with a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
