Obituary published on Legacy.com by Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd - Klamath Falls on Apr. 22, 2025.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Louise Marie Heiderer, born July 16, 1940, in Stanley, North Dakota to Elmer and Ada Heglund. Louise passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in
Klamath Falls, Oregon, surrounded by her three children. She was 84 years old.
A woman of grace, kindness, and unwavering love, Louise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She cherished the time spent with her family, and her heart overflowed with pride and joy for her three children: Rose McClure (Ron), Jackie Turcke (Jim), and Jeff Heiderer (McKenzie).
She found great joy in her four grandchildren: Ashley Saltenberger, Lindsey McClure, Jack Heiderer, and Bo Heiderer, and she adored her two great-grandchildren, Emma and Colt Saltenberger. She is also survived by her sister, Claudia Gooding (Dale).
Louise had a deep love for the outdoors, often found walking along the OC&E Woods Line State Trail, where she found peace and beauty in the world around her. She had a special fondness for flowers and could often be found admiring their colors, tending to her garden, or simply appreciating a blooming wildflower on one of her walks. Music brought her comfort, and she delighted in its rhythms whether in quiet moments at home or joyful gatherings with loved ones.
In early years, Louise worked as an administrative assistant at Oregon Technical Institute (now Oregon Tech), where her attention to detail, professionalism, and warmth made her a valued colleague and friend. Louise and her beloved husband, John Heiderer, built Sycan Logging together-a hardworking and meaningful chapter of their lives that reflected their dedication, resilience, and partnership. Louise was not only a steadfast support behind the scenes, but an integral part of the business and the community it served.
Her strength, compassion, and sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew her. Louise's legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with her kindness, her love, and her generous spirit.
In quieter moments, she enjoyed watching Family Feud, never missing a chance to laugh at the unexpected answers. She also had a well-known sweet tooth-there was always room for dessert, and sharing a treat with loved ones was one of her greatest pleasures.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Heiderer; her parents, Elmer and Ada Heglund; and her siblings, Kay Burgett, Gary Heglund, and Frank Heglund.
A graveside memorial service will be held on April 23, 2025, at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in
Klamath Falls, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the OC&E Woods Line State Trail, honoring Louise's spirit of love for the great outdoors.
Her presence will be missed every day, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
