Louise Kittles Obituary

Louise Rodgers Kittles, 82, wife of Raymond Pressley Kittles, passed away on December 3, 2024 at Augusta University Hospital.

Born in Chester, SC, Louise lived a life dedicated to family, friends, and the written word. She was a dedicated bookstore clerk at Lander University, where her passion for literature helped inspire countless students. She had formerly been employed by Self Regional Medical Center, The Food Barn and was a school crossing guard.

Louise is survived by her loving husband of the home; her daughter, Donna Garber (George Harper); her sons, Bill Kittles (Melanie) and Dale Kittles (Susan); a brother, Preston Rodgers (Wanda); grandchildren, Michael Edwards (Jenny), Jason Swancey, Brantlee Kittles, and Chase Kittles; and great grandchildren, Eli and Dylan Swancey, William Edwards, Liam and Brooks Escoe.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Rodgers and a granddaughter, Lauren Kittles.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Friday at Oakbrook Memorial Park with Mr. Phil Lucas officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 P.M. on Thursday at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory.

Honorary escort will be Pierce Sullivan, Dr. Mark and Rosie Bartz, and Jerry Davis.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to organizations that help feed children and pets.
