Louise C. McCarthy

Louise C. McCarthy, 95, of Lincoln and formerly of Woonsocket, passed away December 20, 2025 in Mt. St. Rita, Cumberland. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Esther (Coffey) McCarthy, and stepdaughter of the late Mary (Monahan) McCarthy.

Louise dedicated her life working for the ARC of Northern RI and serving those in need. She was a true independent woman of great faith that loved to spend her free time at the beach. Louise was meticulous in several facets of her life, but she was a fun-loving and bubbly life force who loved being around people. She was also, the "cool aunt" who loved her nieces and nephews as her own and was always present at their life events.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Edward P. McCarthy and his wife, Claire Davids, of Asbury Park, NJ; David McCarthy and his wife, Dawn, of Tampa, FL; Paula Irwin and her husband, Scott, of Port Matilda, PA; Brigid Madar and her husband, Richard, of Bradenton, FL; and Kathleen McCarthy of Connecticut. She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward R. McCarthy and his wife, Esther, and Robert McCarthy and his wife, Barbara.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026 beginning with visitation at 9:15AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
