Louise McGhee Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 7, 2012.
Louise Delores McGhee (Age 84) departed life on earth to be with our heavenly Father on October 7, 2012 at home in Olney, Md. Louise, affectionately known as Grandma Lou, GML, Lou, Mother, and Fancy Lou, was loved by many. Louise was born on April 29, 1928 to the late Macon and Lona Jackson. She was raised in Wilson, North Carolina, and was one of seven children. She moved to Washington, D.C., and graduated from Cortez Peters Business School in 1948. While she was there, she met and later married her mate, Eugene McGhee (known by all as "Happy" for his infectious smile). What a couple they were! Lou and Hap shared so much and lived their lives to the fullest for 41 years until she bade him a temporary farewell on April 7, 1995. Together, they raised two daughters, Dinitri and Lenez, who helped care for Louise until she was called home. She had a sweet disposition, style and unconditional love for her family, friends and God. Louise is survivied by her daughters, Dinitri Dantley (Adrian) and Lenez McCann (Lorenza); five grandchildren, Cameron, Kalahi, and Kayla Dantley, Gian and Briana McCann; three siblings, Ted Jackson, dorothy McGuire and Laverne Dean and host of other relatives and friends.
