Louise grew up in Bridgeport and lived in Litchfield for 79 years, where she met her husband, Leo. She was a poll worker for many years in Litchfield.
Louise was a citizen of the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation in Connecticut. She was a dedicated fan of UConn basketball (women's and men's) as well as the New York Yankees. Louise enjoyed years of vacations with her family in Westerly, Rhode Island.
A communicant of St. Anthony of Padua, now St. Louis de Montfort, Louise also expressed her faith by volunteering at the Lourdes Shrine for 30 years. Like her mother, she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Louise loved animals, especially cardinals and dogs. Her love of cooking lives on in her much-requested recipes for blueberry buckle and "Johnny Marzetti" casserole.
The family would like to thank the staff of Waterbury Hospital and Havencare at Litchfield Woods for their compassionate care over the past weeks. Tom would like to express his appreciation to his cousins, Roberta Ceccarelli and Ruth G. Torres, for their support during this difficult time.
