Orf, Louise (nee Visnovske)
of Saint Peters, MO, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Orf; cherished daughter of the late John and Rachel Visnovske. Devoted mother of Lisa (Joe) Mikecin, Kevin (Kate) Orf, Brenda (Dave) Maire, and Roger (Mandy) Orf; loving grandmother of Rachel Orf, Dan and Owen Maire, and Mason, Miles, Molly, and Max Orf; dear sister of Fran (the late Richard) Blaha, Terri (the late Ron) Richter, and the late Johnnie (Toni survives) Visnovske; and cherished sister-in-law to Bernice and the late Rose Marie Orf. Louise was also a loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Louise was born and raised in Crystal City, and she worked at Crystal City High School for a few years after graduating from there. She moved to St. Louis to attend secretarial school and then worked at McDonnell Aircraft, where she met her future husband, Art. They married in May 1964 and raised their four children in St. Ann. Louise volunteered at St. Kevin's parish in many ways, including being a Girl Scout leader and funeral lunch planner. She had many hobbies, with her favorites being cooking, baking, and gardening. She and Art loved having a beautiful yard full of flowers and a big vegetable garden. In recent years, she cherished being part of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. Cletus parishes in St. Charles. She had a gift of making new friends everywhere she went. Her charisma and kindness drew people to her, and they enjoyed spending time with her. She genuinely cared about others and was a good friend. She was the best companion and caregiver Art could have ever asked for. And she loved to share her good fortune in life by donating to many medical, housing, veteran, and missionary organizations. Louise will be remembered for her great faith, generosity, and kindness. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

When I think of Louise, I see that beautiful smile she had for everyone she met. It was a joy to know her. Mimi Cook, classmate from CCHS

As a classmate of Louise for several years at CCHS (Class of 1957), she is remembered as a special person, always cheerful and pleasant. As a person of faith in Jesus Christ, she has reached the goal that all Christians who trust in Him have lived for. My condolences to her family for the loss you and her friends feel, remembering that this earthly loss is heavens gain.
