Louise Katie Phillips Pirkle, 89, a lifelong resident of Cumming passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025. Louise was a longtime active and devoted member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. After retiring from Peachtree Doors she enjoyed working at Mr. Swiss, meeting many of her friends dropping by for breakfast. Louise is preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte Lynn Pirkle; mother and father, Lewis and Ursel Fagan Phillips, brothers, Johnny Phillips, JW Phillips, Herman Phillips; sisters, Elizabeth Reagan and Barbara Day.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Tammy Pirkle; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Dennis Purcell; grandchildren, Ashleigh Mae Pirkle, Katie Anne and Brandon Keith, John Alex Purcell; great grandson, John Baylor Keith; sister, Joyce Perry; brother, Charles Phillips; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 17, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garry English and Rev. Mark Coffman officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church.
