Louise White Pledge joined her heavenly family on July 18, 2024 after dying peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
The oldest of six children of Ruth and George White, she was born September 3, 1939, in
Ogden, Utah. Knowledge and education were highly stressed growing up, as she was born of goodly and intelligent parents. Louise and all her siblings (who made it to adulthood) are college graduates and talented musicians.
Louise was an accomplished pianist. Throughout her lifetime she played piano for numerous choirs, organizations, musical theatres, and businesses. Louise was a beloved piano teacher for over forty years. At the time of her death, she had been a pianist for the West Jordan Symphony for over ten years.
While she was born in Ogden, Louise lived in many places during her lifetime. She claims to have loved all of them except for El Paso. She has called El Paso, San Jose, Austin, Tooele, Salt Lake City, al Khobar. Saudia Arabia and finally Bountiful, home. Bountiful and Saudi Arabia were her favorite places to live.
Louise's greatest love was her family. Louise considered herself blessed to have five wonderful children, Cassi, Brisi, Rick, Jenny, and Melody (DeeDee). She played an active role in her children's lives involving them in numerous activities during their childhoods. Louise loved being a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother. Louise was incredibly proud of her children and their families and would brag about them often to whomever would listen.
Louise was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She felt that she was born with a testimony of the divinity of the LDS Church. During her lifetime she served in numerous positions in the church, starting as the ward organist at the early age of 12. Louise's favorite position was Primary Pianist, as like Jesus, Louise loved the little children.
Louise is survived by her children, Cassi (Rick) Henwood, Tooele; Brisi (Chris) Hall-Provost, Mt. Juliet; Rick (Candi) Hall, Stockton; Jenny McKay, West Jordan; and Melody-DeeDee (BJ) Barkley; Draper and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Marv (Susan) White, Pocatello; Larry (Judy) White, St. George; and Carolin (Kelly) Spencer, Woods Cross. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and her Aunt LuAnne, all of whom were special to her.
Louse was preceded in death by her parents George and Ruth White, twin brothers David and Dennis and two beautiful granddaughters Melinda and Richelle.
Her family would like to thank Valeo Hospice, hospice nurse Cordelia, aide Lexi as well as her family caregivers for their loving care during her last days.
