Louise F. Thomas, 80, of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late David Thomas.

Born in Pawtucket, RI, on January 14, 1945, she was the loving daughter of the late Theodore and Elizabeth (Michalowicz) Rzemien. Louise grew up in Pawtucket and was a 1963 graduate of Tolman High School. While raising her young children, she earned her certification in hairdressing from Taunton Beauty Academy. She later owned and operated her own business, Styles Unlimited, in the center of North Attleboro for many years.

After retiring from hairdressing, Louise and her late husband, David, owned and operated Children's Carousel, a children's resale shop. She also worked as office manager for Nolan's Flowers and gave generously of her time as a volunteer with Birthright and hospice.

A woman of faith, Louise was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church in North Attleboro and later of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church in Providence.

Louise loved cooking and will always be remembered for her famous banana bread. She also enjoyed traveling, taking many trips with David throughout their years together. Above all, she cherished her role as a full-time grandmother, always caring for and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Celeste D'Elia of North Providence; her son, Brian Laquerre, and his wife, Heidi, of Lincoln; and her cherished grandchildren: Nicole, Kasey, Cosimo IV, Calista, and Carly. She also leaves her beloved great-grandchildren, Elliott and Magnolia; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.

Louise was the sister of the late Carole Laquerre and Theodore J. Rzemien, and the former wife of the late Joseph G. Laquerre.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Sperry-McHoul-Pichi Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home, with her longtime friend and priest, the Reverend Mary Alice Sullivan, pastor of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church in Providence and pastor emeritus of Grace Episcopal Church in North Attleboro, officiating. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Interment will be held privately at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery & Arboretum in Attleboro Falls.
