I meet Ms. Tolbert in my 10th grade year of High School through Terenda (Winky). I would go to her home and she made me feel welcomed. How I knew that she cared about me was because she made me feel like I belonged, because she kept me in line just like Terenda and Stacy and all the rest of the grandchildren. When I had my son in high school, she let me know that she was disappointed, but she still loved me. I hadn't seen her in years, but literally thought about her on Tuesday the 24th, just wondering how she was doing. Timing is everything. Another missed opportunity to check on a loved one. I wish that I could have just took the moment to reach out. Rest on Ms. Tolbert.
