Lovely Jean-Baptiste was Born on March 22, 1964, to Melianise Pierre and Pierre Saint-Amant Jean Baptiste in the City of Port-de-Paix, the city of Capoix Lamort, one of the great Heroes of Haiti's Independence.
Lovely was part of a large family comprised of 12 siblings: 4 boys and 8 girls. She went to Elementary school in Port-de-Paix and began to work at an early age to help support her family.
In her late teens, she migrated to Nassau, Bahamas, in search of better opportunities. It was there that she gave birth to a beautiful girl, Wilnise Jean, her one and only child. Lovely was a loving and caring mother, who worked hard in order to provide for her daughter and siblings in Haiti. She wanted the very best for her Wilnise.
In Nassau, she embraced the Christian faith, becoming a Baptist. She loved the church and became active in her congregation.
In search of better economic opportunities for her, daughter Wilnise, and her three beautiful grandchildren: Quinton, Darron, and Annissa, she decided to relocate to the United States, primarily in
Orlando, Florida.
While living in
Orlando, Florida, a wonderful thing happened to Lovely, and her life completely changed. She discovered the Adventist faith and she was baptized in 2013 at the End Time Sabbath Worship Center. She loved God and attended faithfully the various services. She also loved to pray and would encourage her family members to follow in her footsteps.
In 2015, Lovely joined the Salem Free SDA Church and persevered in her faith. She was loved by everyone. She would always say that Salem was a real family to her. She went on to become a Deaconess in her new congregation. Not long after, her daughter Wilnise and her three grandchildren migrated to
Orlando, Florida, and joined Lovely. At last, Lovely would often testify that God answered the longing of her heart, he reunited her with her daughter, Wilnise and her children.
In 2021, at the height of the Covid19 pandemic, Lovely became ill and was admitted in the Hospital. This marked the beginning of a hard-fought battle with Cancer. Throughout this difficult season in her life, Lovely was always optimistic, saying that her heavenly Father, had the final say, in the matter. She did not want anyone to pity her. In fact, she would encourage those who would visit her saying, that God is good and in control. Finally, on January 23, 2024, Lovely took her last breath at Orlando Health in
Ocoee, Florida, at 12:37 pm.
We will remember her beautiful smile and her love for life and beauty. We, firmly believe that Lovely wasn't defeated by death, but that she went to sleep in the Lord and at the voice of the Archangel, and when the trumpet shall sound, Lovely will come out of the grave, clothed with immortality, to meet Jesus, her loving Saviour and King.
She leaves behind, her daughter, Wilnise Jean, her three grandchildren, Quinton, Darron Victor and Annissa Stubbs. Her sisters, Saint-Alise Jean-baptiste, Miselia Jean-Baptiste, and their respective families. Her brothers, Sagire Jean-Baptiste and family, Saturne Jean-Baptiste and family. Her nieces and Nephews, Vivianne Joseph Noel and family, Christiana Joseph and family, Welna Joseph and family, Joanel Joseph, Billy Joseph, Soilne Jn. Robert Joseph. In all, she leaves behind, 38 nieces, 20 nephews, 60 grandnieces, 30 grandnephews and countless friends. She was only 59 years old. Our sweet Lovely is now resting awaiting the first resurrection!
