Loyal Mark Ownes, 58, currently of Kings Mills, OH, passed away on December 27th, 2024. Loyal was born in Yardville, NJ, on March 20th,1966 to Loyal and Marie Ownes.
Though they were together for nearly 19 years, Loyal married as he always said, “the love of his life”, Pat, in 2018. Together they loved traveling, playing games, cheering on their favorite basketball team, Seton Hall, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Loyal graduated from Seton Hall in 1988. He was the CEO of Beckett Springs, a behavioral health hospital located in the Cincinnati area. He was a dedicated advocate of mental health and volunteered for various organizations that supported suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Throughout his life, he enjoyed everything and anything Disney – his favorite Disney World ride was Toy Story Mania.
Loyal is survived by his wife, Patricia Ownes; children, Becca Ownes (Michael), Taylor Lanzillo (Susie), and Nic Lanzillo (Lexi); grandchildren, Annika, Sarah, Tatum, and Jo; sister, Tammy Marshall (Chester); sister-in-laws, Katie (Jim) and Laurie; his niece and nephews; and his beloved dog Cooper.
Loyal always said Family Is Everything and Loyal was everything to his family.
A memorial gathering will take place at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd Mason, Ohio 45040 on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11:00am-1:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Loyal’s memory to NAMI Ohio (National Alliance of Mental Illness) namiohio.org
