Luan Hendrix

Luan Hendrix, 86, of Edgewood, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025. Born on September 21, 1939, in Edgewood, Texas, she lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and community.

Raised in Edgewood, Luan graduated from Edgewood High School with the Class of 1957. That same year, on July 12, she married Bill Hendrix at Pleasant Union Baptist Church in her hometown-a union that would span nearly seven decades. Together they built a life rooted in love and shared values.

Luan's professional journey included work in banking and accounting before transitioning into home health care. She retired in 2017 after years of dedicated service to others. Her work reflected her compassionate nature and strong sense of responsibility.

A long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mesquite Tx, Luan was a proud sponsor of the Girls Missionary Auxiliary. Upon returning to Edgewood, she and Bill joined Pleasant Union Baptist church. Her strong spiritual foundation influenced her behavior and served as an inspiration to others.

Luan delighted in a variety of hobbies that highlighted her creativity and love for the outdoors. She was fond of dogs and spent many hours gardening, crocheting, making ceramics, working on puzzles, and playing both piano and organ. Bird watching offered her a sense of peace and amazement-simple pleasures that revealed her gentle nature. Luan's relationship with Bill was marked by adventure and affection. Of all their shared experiences, some of the most memorable were when Bill, a licensed pilot, invited Luan to fly alongside him. Soaring above the earth beneath an endless sky, these flights became treasured memories for them both.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Bill Hendrix; son Kurt Hendrix and his wife Brandi; daughter Mimi Hendrix and her husband Brad Dominy; grandchildren Paige Hendrix Guthrie, Cameron Leath, Carson Leath, and Casey Leath; great-grandchildren Jantz Guthrie, Juelz Guthrie, and Aurora Leath; and cousin Pattye Tadlock.

Luan was preceded in death by her parents Luke Edwards and Irene Russell Edwards; brother James Ray Edwards; and aunt Dorothy French.

Her legacy is one of love, courage, kindness, strength, and unwavering care for those around her. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.

A Visitation will be held on November 15, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home 205 Corky Boyd Avenue in Wills Point, Texas . A Funeral Service will be held on November 15, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home, 205 Corky Boyd Avenue in Wills Point.
