LuAnn Nichols Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 21, 2025.
LuAnn Nichols, age 67, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, went home to be with Jesus on November 14, 2025, after courageously battling malignant melanoma. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Fellowship Church in Greenwood, Missouri at 11:00 a.m.

Born in 1958 in Sioux City, Iowa, to Paul and Nancy Armstrong. she lived a life marked by deep faith, unshakeable resilience, and a love that left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew her.
She married her high school sweetheart, Randy, and together they had three children before his passing. She later made Lee's Summit her home in 1991 and she married Rick. Together they welcomed another child, completing a family she treasured beyond measure.
She built a life rooted in compassion, purpose, and devotion to her family. She loved Jesus wholeheartedly and lived out her faith with authenticity. She led a women's Bible study that explored Scripture through its Jewish roots-something she was passionate about and gifted at teaching. Her favorite verse, Luke 12:27-"Consider the lilies…"-reflected her trust in God's provision and her desire to live with grace and peace.
She worked for many years as a hairdresser before returning to college and earning her degree. She completed her career at a pregnancy resource center, where her compassion, honesty, and commitment to justice touched countless lives. She found the most peace when she was doing meaningful work, caring for others in their most vulnerable seasons.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, pouring her love, prayers, and wisdom into every generation. She never stopped learning, growing, or seeking truth. She was honest to a fault, fiercely protective of those she loved, and deeply committed to doing what was right-yet she grew softer and more gracious with age, becoming a beautiful example of strength blended with tenderness.
She looked forward with joy to the moment she would meet Jesus face-to-face, and her greatest desire was for all whom she loved to join her one day in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, her first husband Randy, and one unborn grandbaby.

She is survived by her four children; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers; one sister; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.

Her life was a testament to God's goodness, and her memory will be a light we carry forever.
