LuAnne Buffo, age 69, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025 surrounded by her loving sisters. Beloved daughter of the late Louis D. and Annamarie R., nee Milella; loving sister of Mary Jo Buffo, Christine (the late Lino) Mardegan, Lisa (Kevin) Mahoney and the late George (Mary Kay) Buffo; cherished aunt of Louis (Katie) and Luke (Kristin) Buffo, Katie Mahoney, Claudia and Jeanne Mardegan and Louis Mahoney and great aunt of Madison, Lexi, Shaun, Maggie, Remi, Geo and Lukie.
With a longstanding career at Metrovision, which eventually became Comcast, LuAnne dedicated her professional life to serving others. She excelled in various roles throughout her tenure, ultimately becoming a manager of customer service. Despite her managerial position, her heart was truly in training others, creating engaging cable commercials, and hosting her own TV show where she interviewed people around the community in Berwyn. Her love for her work was evident, and she brought joy to both her colleagues and viewers alike.
LuAnne's personality was a tapestry woven from calmness and love. She possessed an innate ability to connect with those around her, fostering lasting relationships that extended beyond her professional life. Her fondness for her nieces and nephews was particularly noteworthy, as she took great joy in their accomplishments and cherished the time spent with them.
In addition to her career achievements, LuAnne had a deep passion for the arts. She loved theater and music, having performed in high school productions and community theater as an adult. Her enthusiasm for Broadway left an indelible mark on her life, fueling her creativity and connecting her with others who shared her love for the performing arts. Furthermore, she demonstrated her commitment to helping others by volunteering as a crew member for one of the first AIDS Rides, contributing to a cause deeply meaningful to her.
