Lucas Jessie Heiberg

Lucas Jessie Heiberg was born August 9, 1984. He passed away August 11, 2025 at the age of 41. 

Lucas was a mechanic who was excelled in his craft. He graduated as an automotive mechanic at Lake Region State College. He graduated from High School in 2003. 

Lucas grew up playing hockey and he was an avid hunter, especially deer hunting. He was raised in the Christian faith and loves the Lord. He was a good man and a loving father to his daughter, Rebecca, and he always wanted the best for his family. Lucas was married on January 31, 2021, and his daughter, Rebecca, stood as their flower girl. He was divorced in 2024 and remained friends with his ex-wife. 

Lucas was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Haugrud, and his paternal and maternal grandparents. He will surely be missed by his father, Daniel Heiberg; step-mom, Marichu Heiberg; brother, Cole Heiberg; daughter, Rebecca Heiberg; ex-wife, Rachel Chepulis; and many relatives and friends. Viewing and visitation will be held at Wright funeral Home, 605 Second Ave. South, Moorhead, MN, from 10:00-11:00 in the morning, followed by the funeral service and lunch.
