Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home & Crematory - Lynnhaven Chapel on Mar. 12, 2026.
Lucia Angela Francesca Graeff, 86, passed away in Virginia Beach, Virginia on March 7, 2026. Lucia was born in Derry, N. Ireland to Victor and Mary Fiorentini. She received her formal education in Derry. She went on to work in her parents' shop, Fiorentini's, on the Strand. Lucia met her husband, Gene, in 1959 while he was stationed at the U.S. Naval base in Derry. They married at St Eugene's Cathedral on August 25, 1960. Lucia moved to the United States with her husband, Gene, and their son, Eugene, in 1962. She carried her beloved Ireland in her heart and spoke often of her home and family in both Derry and Shrove. One of her favorite places in Ireland was by the Big White Bay in Shrove with its beautiful lighthouse, beach and nearby cliffs. She cherished her visits home to spend time with family and especially enjoyed some of those visits being with her husband, children and grandchildren. Lucia's hobbies included reading and travel. She showed her artistic talent with hobbies in various crafts such as embroidery, knitting, macrame, ceramics and art. Lucia enjoyed monthly luncheons with several friends who were also from Ireland. She was a former member of the Irish American Society of Tidewater. She enjoyed attending meetings and their events.

Lucia was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Mary Fiorentini, and her sisters Maria, Paddy and Pat. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Gene, her son Eugene and daughter in law Patti, her daughter Barbara and son in law Kevin, her grandchildren Caitlyn, Ryan and La'Miya, her sisters Nora, Bi and husband Peter, Eva and Santina and husband Cathal, her brother Giovanni, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Parkinson's Foundation in Lucia's memory.
